Iluka Public School was honoured to host our Federal Member of Parliament, Mr Kevin Hogan last Friday. Mr Hogan and his wife visited Iluka Public School to present new Australian and Aboriginal flags. Following a recently successful grant application submitted by Acting Principal Mr Phillip Bradmore to acquire a new flag pole for the school, it was realised that new flags were also needed. After presenting the new flags to school Captains Eve Cok and Riley Duncombe, Mr Hogan participated in our weekly assembly and several students were fortunate to receive their merit certificates from Mr Hogan. Opportunities to ask questions of Mr Hogan saw one student requesting a government ban on homework which Mr Hogan politely denied. The staff and students at Iluka Public School were proud to have our political representative spend time in our relaxed, happy school environment.
